Admission

Students seeking admission to any standard from V to X should produce a leaving certificate from the previous school attended, Birth certificate and his/her mark sheet along with the admission form properly filled. Students from other states should submit their transfer certificate.

Attendance

Parents/guardians should make sure that their wards attend the school, extra classes and remedial classes regularly. Except under unavoidable circumstance their wards should not be allowed to miss classes. The absentee will have to produce a leave note in the diary the following day without which s/he will not be admitted to the class. A note also has to be produced if the ward has to leave early from school. Without which they may not be permitted. No leave note will be accepted on a paper. Attendance is also compulsory on the national days celebrated in school.

Punctuality

Students should come to the school at least 10 minutes before the assembly. Late arrivals will be recorded in the diary which will have to be signed by the parents the next day. 75% attendance is mandatory.

School Uniform

School uniform should be stitched according to the design prescribed by the school.School uniform should be worn on all school days. The uniform should be neatly ironed. Shoes and tie is to be worn after the monsoons. School girls should wear their hair in two plaits or ponytails with black rubber bands. No jewellery (chains, bracelets, -bangles, anklets) should be worn on the uniform. Using tattoos, nailpolish, mehndi is not allowed

No costly items should be brought to school. Mobiles are strictly prohibited. School authorities will not be responsible for loss of such things.

Homework

Parents are required to see to it that their ward completes his home work and also check the remarks in the note books/school diary occasionally. As per CCE system a student should be evaluated on regular basis hence every students is required to submit their homework/ assignments and all other school work in time.

School Bus

You should be on time at your stop for the school bus and it will not wait for any student if they are late. No changes will be done in the route of the bus. School authorities will not be responsible for any unforeseen mishappenings.

Discipline

*Scribbling on the benches or walls will incur a fine. Replacement or reimbursement will have to be done if any damage is done to the school property due to misbehaviour.

*Running, playing, shouting, loitering in the corridors or in classrooms and whistling during class hours will not be tolerated.

*Consumption of chips and chewing gums in the school campus is strictly prohibited.

*Students are advised to carry their money in their pockets.

*Only inexpensive sweets can be distributed on birthdays.

*Since the medium of instruction is in English students should practise it within the school campus and parents are requested to encourage it.

*Students should present their assembly on the day allotted to them.

*Use of abusive language will invite disciplinary action.

Withdrawal

Written application should be submitted for the school leaving certificate. All the dues have to be cleared prior to this. Library books have to be returned before taking the leaving certificate

Evaluation

For Std. IX and X the academic year consist of two terms. Evaluation is done in the mid terms and the term exams conducted after each term. Need based evaluation is also carried out by subject teachers to monitor the progress of the student. 75% attendance is required to appear for the exams.

With the introduction of CCE, (Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation) the academic year will have two semesters. Semester I will be tentatively from June to November and Semester II will be tentatively from November to April of the following Year. There will be two types of subject areas: Scholastic and Co-scholastic. For scholastic academic subjects there will be in each Semester one Summative and two formative tests/assessments. The total maximum marks for both the semesters will be 200. Both the summative tests will be pen/pencil and paper tests conducted at the end of each semester.

Recommendation to Parents

*Since we try to develop eco friendly attitude amongst students, parents are requested to also inculcate such habits amongst students like switching off fans and lights when not required, not wasting water or food, not wasting paper, caring for trees plants and animals.

*Send their wards neatly dressed to school.

*Check diaries of their ward for remarks, notices.

*Avoid criticism of teachers in the presence of their ward as this would lead to disrespect for teachers and eventually a dislike for the subject taught by the teacher.

*Not to encourage students to miss school.

*Parents should report to school as per the request of the teachers or the Headmaster to find out how to guide their wards for making progress.
