Rules and Regulations
Students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects self-control and concern for others.
- Students are expected to conduct themselves with dignity, decency and a sense of responsibility. Bad conduct will be liable for disciplinary action.
- No student may leave the school campus without permission of his respective counsellor or the Principal.
- No student may leave a class without the permission of the Principal or Teacher-Counsellor concerned. Full day absence should be explained in writing attested by the parents to the Principal or Teacher-Counsellor concerned.
- A minimum attendance of 75 % is required failing which the student will not be allowed to appear for the examination. The students should be punctual for the morning assembly, extra classes and other school events. No student may miss regular or remedial classes, assembly, school authorized sports sessions, co-curricular activities and any school events without permission.
- Students should wear full uniform as prescribed by the school at all times during the school year including occasions when they represent the school. No student may wear clothing other than permitted by the school.
- Students are expected to maintain a neat, hygienic length of hair.
- Students are not permitted to dye their hair or have exaggerated hairstyles.
- The Teacher-Counsellor may ask the parents to meet him. Parents should know that the Counsellor is bound by a code of confidentiality and may choose not to confide in parents without the permission of the student. The Counsellor will confide in school authorities if there is a risk of life threatening or serious injury, if the reputation of the school is involved, or if the situation warrants the intervention of a professional psychologist or psychiatrist.
- The school reserves the right to assess a student for learning disabilities and to assign remedial classes or programmes to students who have been diagnosed as requiring help.
- Parents must inform the school of serious medical conditions (including surgeries, diseases, chronic illnesses, and allergies).
- Social and community service is compulsory for all students as mandated by the school from time to time.
- All students are expected to participate in sports on a regular basis as mandated by the school. Organized practice sessions may be allowed on Sundays or holidays when sanctioned by the PE teacher/Principal.
- No visitor should meet a student without first meeting the Principal or the concerned Teacher-Counsellor.
- Non-submission of homework or assignment from time to time is viewed seriously and could invite disciplinary action.
- No student is permitted to keep or consume alcohol, drugs, other intoxicants, psychotropic substances and tobacco within the school premises.
- It is forbidden to have firearms, knives, or any other weapons. Firearms include revolvers, air pistols and air guns or any other guns with pellets. Knives include hunting or kitchen knives, and pen knives of any kind. Other weapons include rings, knuckle dusters, and any blunt or sharp instruments.
- Body piercing is not permitted.
- Cell phones are not permitted in the school premises.
- Expensive personal items are not permitted in the school premises.
- Students should not wear any jewellery.
- No student may have tattoos on his/her body.
- No motor vehicles, including motorbikes and scooters, are permitted for students on campus.
- The school will take action against those who verbally abuse a person based on his caste, religion, mother tongue, region, culture, nationality, social and economic status, or physical or mental disability.
- No student is permitted to use violence against a member of the school community or to damage school property or another's property. Any damage to school property will have to be made good by the student and may also invite disciplinary action.
- No student shall receive personal letters on the school address unless prior permission of the Principal is obtained.
