Admission Policy & General Guidelines

The Admissions Policy aims to communicate in an open and transparent manner how students are admitted to the school and the criteria as well as the procedures to be used in the admission of students.

  1. The school admits students in the XI and XII standards in Arts, Commerce and Science streams.
  2. Filling up registration form does not guarantee admission
  3. The permissible maximum strength is 50 students per division.
  4. Admission will be offered to eligible applicants subject to availability of seats.
  5. Only one application may be submitted per student.
  6. Students must be able to cope with an English-medium curriculum.
  7. Repeater/ATKT students will be kept on the waiting list for two weeks from the date of reopening and admission will be finalized thereafter depending on the availability of seats.
  8. The Principal reserves the right to refuse admission to the students whose past academic record and conduct is found to be unsatisfactory.
  9. Entries with regard to the Name, Date and Place of Birth should be in conformity with those in the School Leaving Certificate.
  10. The school will consider admitting students with a moderate physical or learning disability only after getting the details from parents.
  11. Reservation of seats will be as per the state policy.
  12. We prioritise applications by category i.e. by date of birth and by date of application. Within each category priority will be given to:
    1. Children born in/ after August1996
    2. Siblings of children already attending the school subject to satisfactory fulfilment of other criteria;
    3. Siblings of former students of SS Angle HSS;
    4. Child whose parent/guardian is a full-time employee of SS Angle HSS;
  13. Applications received after July 5, 2010 will be considered LATE and finalised according to rules in force from time to time. Applications have to be submitted personally along with the parent/ guardian of the candidate seeking admission
  14. Students above 18 years may not be admitted.
  15. Incomplete Admission Forms or Admission Forms not accompanied by proper documents will not be accepted.
  16. Documents required to be submitted at the time of admission. Admission forms will not be considered in the absence of any of the documents listed below.
    1. Application form duly completed in all respect
    2. Original statement of marks scored in SSC/XI along with two copies duly attested.
    3. Original School Leaving Certificate (shall not be returned) along with two photo copies.
    4. Photo copy of birth certificate
    5. Four (04) recent passport size photograph
    6. In case of special/reserved category copy of caste certificate or as the case may be.

  17. A student who has passed SSC through any recognised board other than Goa Board is required to follow the applicable procedure as laid down by the Goa Board and Directorate of Education.
  18. Students seeking admission in the school undertake to be bound by the rules and regulations of the school in force.
  19. Students found violating the code of conduct or are found indulging in prohibited activities or any other activities which are considered to be unbecoming of a student are liable for disciplinary action by the head of the institution.
